The thing with the children's theater is that everyone who auditions gets a part. Conny's real life counterpart has made the assertion that who gets what part is based more on who will fit in the costume than actual acting ability. There may be some truth to that.
I really miss being on stage.

@Brigid: You bet she is. Just ask her mom XD
Kidding...although it is true.
@Journo: Very, very true. lol
Gotta love this one. Mary is so animated in it, despite the static nature of the images.
And is this comic (and, by extension, Journo-SEAL's comment) looking to accuse Mary of being a "drama queen"? Or is it meant to refer to your own comments, r.e.: your "Auditioning Blues" post on FaceBook (since by your own admission, Mary is you, and vice-versa)? Or both?
@Dan: Well, I wouldn't say 'drama queen'... Though, yeah, that pretty much fits.
The idea for this arc came from two sources, the actual play I was in at this age and the audition I attended recently. Even if I don't get a part (which is looking likely) I'll still get to re-experience the thrill of the stage through MQC.
Mary looks like she might explode, she seems to be so excited (in the first and second panels especially!).
@Dan: Kablooee! Ah, great. Someone grab a mop.
Okay, that was kinda gross. You KNOW that's not what I meant. XD
@Dan: Yeah, I know. ^-^
