There seems to be some sort of on switch in the center of the breast bone. The instant my little brother fell asleep and fell against that point for the first time I felt an incredible warmth and desire to hug him, squee loudly, and just protect him from everything. I call it the maternal instinct activator. Mine apparently never turned off. ^^;

Chapter 7, Page 6 Future plans
Sorry for the delay. Because of various things I had little time to work on the comic lately. I hope to get back on track now.
Poor Mary. She really doesn't like change all that much. Now how will she react to changes in herself?

Chapter 7, Page 5 Definitely broken.
Such a nice house. A great house. The previous owners? Not so great. I have no idea who they got to make the built-in sofas, but they flimsy things that were more annoying than they were worth. They didn't even look nice.
Well, the start of a slow change in decor starts now.

Chapter 7, Page 4 Little situation
Ever have one of those days? I think Mary feels like she's having one. She may be right. (Maybe if she wasn't such a klutz...)

Chapter 7, Page 3 Cool toys are pricy.
And car payments, and taxes, and gas, and...
There really are days when I wish I was still a kid. And yet, I never want to go through that ever again.

Chapter 7, Page 2 Story Time
They just don't write children's stories like this any more. I wonder why? Some of my fondest memories are of Dad reading these old stories to us. Wind In The Willows, Uncle Wiggily, The Little Mailman of Bayberry Lane...
Come to think of it, all these stories were originally written around or well before 1950. I wonder what happened.

Chapter 7, Page 1 Never the same
Wednesday's comic will be light-hearted to make up for this episode! I promise!
This was actually supposed to be spread out a bit more between the end of Chapter 6 and the start of Chapter 7. But as various things conspired against that happening here's the end result. I hope it isn't too terribly wordy.

Chapter 7, Cover
Not much to say right now. Particularly since I'm not feeling the best. Hope everyone enjoys the new chapter. Mary's turning 14 in it. Should be, uh, interesting.

Chapter 6, Page 38 Is there a God?
Quite heavy stuff to end the chapter on, eh? Well, the next chapter starts a little heavier but gets lighter after that. Just an FYI.
I could have gone on with Dad's explanation, but that would get long and I don't want to sound like I'm preaching. (Especially since I know there are readers out there who don't hold the same world views as I do.) Trying to find a balance between the importance of religion in Mary's life and making this work accessible to a wide audience is a little tricky. I'll just leave it at Mary's question about the existence of God gets answered in a satisfactory manner.
