Chapter 14, Page 20 Distracted

Plasma globe are shiny.

Plasma globes are made of pure, concentrated awesome. Appropriately enough, they were also invented by real life mad scientist Nikola Tesla. He seemed to specialize in making things with limited practical applications, but, man, do they look cool!

Also a little shout out to the Headwaters Science Center in Bemidji. I'd go back to Bemidji just to visit that place again. (Well, that and the the mini-golf course with the 3-foot metal sculpture of a mosquito.)

Chapter 14, Page 19 Relativity rodent

Theory of relativity seems to apply to rodents.

I maybe shouldn't be quite so amused by this, but honestly, the little thing was maybe the size of your average hamster. Might have even made a good pet. Why is it I always seem to be the only one who finds these surprise guests to be cute?

Chapter 14, Page 18 Rodent Revenge

Do not mess with squirrels. They will get you back.

Sorry about the quality and the wait, the flu stinks.

This really happened. This squirrel had the best revenge ever. I laughed and laughed.

I didn't make any human friends at camp.

Chapter 14, Page 17 Language is strange

Language is strange.

'Gull' is Norwegian for yellow. No idea why carrots are called 'yellow root' in Norwegian. Or why oranges are called 'Chinese apples.' The Chinese part I kinda get, but apple? They're nothing like apples!

Chapter 14, Page 16 Which is more scared?

Look out for low flying rodents.

As pointed out by Journo-SEAL, I inadvertently reposted last week's comic. *headdesk* I blame it on the cold.

I was really disappointed when the little red squirrel didn't run over my shoes. At least he got away in one piece. Never did find out why he ran into a crowd of teenagers in the first place.

Chapter 14, Page 15 Nature of Nature

If it's sticky, it's biology.

Two weeks in a row! Let's see if I can keep this up.

This is actually an abridged version of the complaints these two had. If you will, imagine listening to this for the entire time it takes to walk from one campsite to another. It's not a short walk, by the way.

Chapter 14, Page 14 Different perspectives

Different perspectives.

Sorry this is so late! At least it's finally here.

The two girls on the right are actually from my second time at Skogfjorden. I plan on showing that adventure, but I want these two here for some contrast with Mary's view of camping.

Now that I have my computer working, maybe I can actually update semi-regularly.

Chapter 15, Page 13 No translation

Translation please?

Actually, I will provide a translation.

Panel 1: Passport.

Panel 2: Welcome.

Panel 3: Parking is straight ahead. Follow the signs to customs.

-----

I am so sorry! I'm sure it's purely coincidental that I've been having so many technical difficulties with page 13. Very sure. Yeah.

Anyway, I'm tired of having to rearrange my desktop, including aspect ratios which don't always work and preferences that get reset for no reason I can think of, every time I want to use my tablet. So I got the parts and had my brother put together a computer rig specifically for my tablet. One problem. *Every time* I try to put the Photoshop installation CD into the computer the tablet goes out of sync and shuts down. Can't really install something if I don't have a monitor to see what I'm doing. GAAAA! And this rig is totally useless if I can't get Photoshop onto it! I have a ten-pound paperweight! *bangs head on desk* I wonder if my brother has a spare monitor I can borrow for a little while.

Chapter 14, Page 12 On the road

lots of trees

It's hard to draw, or do much of anything, when all you want to do is sleep. Or rip out your right ear and most of your throat.

Don't you just love cold and flu season? Ugh...

Anyway, I'll try my best to complete this arc. Perhaps I'll just assume that Mary spends the fall and winter doing what I'll probably be doing. Drinking tea and being miserable.

Chapter 14, Page 11 Going camping

Pre-camping jitters.

I'm alive! Would've had this out earlier this week, but I had sinus pressure where my brains should've been.

Anyway, Mary is going to a summer camp for the first time ever. Should be interesting?
