Chapter 10, Page 1 What not to wear, D&D

Seriously, what is she thinking?

For those of you wondering what the title of this chapter indicates ... uh, yeah. This isn't actually the focus of the chapter. Though she does raise a good point.

The answer: These games are marketed to late teen, early twenty males who suffer from severe (and self inflicted) babe deficiency.

Or if they aren't, they sure do a good job looking like they are.

See "Chainmail Bikini" on the TVTrope wiki.

Dare I admit that *I* remember those magazines, too? And that I think I may still have a few lying around?

@Dan: Seen it, read it, and so want to subvert it in a story.

And in my Dad's defense, the magazines he kept were mainly (very excellent) articles on game mechanics and customization. The half-dressed warrior babes were incidental.

@ Brigid: Hey, I only read 'em for the articles! ;P

Seriously, some of those articles *were* half way decent. Especially when you were a would-be writer in search of inspiration and/or source material for a fantasy story!

I inclination not agree on it. I assume nice post. Expressly the title attracted me to study the whole story.

Something just ineffably adorable about Mary's expression in panel two. Don't know why I keep focusing on that one little factoid; pretty sure that it'll have no long term impact on the current storyline... :)

@Dan: It is rather cute, isn't it? I hadn't even thought of that until I took another look.
