Chapter 10, Page 8 Big girl?

Dad isn't the most grown up adult.

Oh, and in case the reason for this conversation isn't clear (it will be on the next update, but anyway), my birthday is next Monday. Can't believe I'm turning 27. That's *old!* It was kinda weird realizing I was old enough to drink and that was years ago! oO

Pfft. Twenty-seven isn't old. But happy birthday anyway. Was gonna save that for next Monday, but better to not take a chance of letting it slip by unexpected! :D

@Dan: Thanks. Though with all these trips down memory lane that I indulge in with MQC, anything over twenty seems old.

As Dan said, 27 isn't old. Heck, wait till you get to 40. Then you'll think old!

Happy early birthday!

Actually, I think I can kinda identify with Dad here. Just over a week ago, I missed my two-year-old nephew's birthday, and I know for a fact that it was a lot harder on me than it was on him! Well the way it was explained to me afterward, he was pretty unhappy with the world in general, which had nothing to do with me. But still...

@Robert: Thanks. ^_^

@Oscar: I don't think I can imagine that far ahead.

And also, thanks.

@Dan: Ah, the terrible twos. Might be just as well you did miss it. Though I, too, identify with Dad on this. Missing important landmarks is rough.
