Chapter 10, Page 9 Anticipating birthday

Not the fun kind of convention.

Well, as I write this I will be 27 in about 11 minutes.

That still seems old to me. Maybe because it doesn't seem that long ago when 20 sounded ancient.

Anyway, this is actually going to be Mary's first sleepover. That is, the first time she's been to a sleepover that wasn't at her own house. You might remember that she did have a couple, ah, friends over night once before.

Just shy of five minutes, from where I'm sitting. But that's my time. So I guess that means that you've been 27 for a little under an hour, Central Time. Allow me once again to wish you the happiest of birthdays.

And remind you, again, that 27 isn't old. :P

@Dan: Technically, I was born at 12:21am, so even at midnight I wouldn't be 27 for another 21 minutes.

Details, details. :P

Again, happy birthday! Wow! So close to St. Patrick's Day. Have some green root beer to celebrate how young you are. Life stretches before you like the empty pages of a book yet to be written. May you write each day of joy, good deeds, reflection, and/or satisfaction, with a pinch of frustration added as a savory. ;-)

@Tenacious: Thanks. ^_^ I actually ended up wearing green instead of drinking it, which was just as well all things considered. And a fun time was had by all.

I wish to apologize for the lack of updates this week. The one difficulty of spending spring break with family is that I don't have access to a working scanner to start working on the line art I've done for the next few episodes. But that should be rectified in a few days.
