Chapter 13, Page 2 Stand out

They might not have said that if they knew she was there.

Sorry this is late! I have a very good excuse.

I'm employed!! YAY! Don't expect me to jump up and down, though, because my feet are killing me. I need new shoes soooooo bad.

By the way, I really did do that. I think my little sister just about died.

Hey, it's the sort of thing I'd do, back when. Or more recently, for that matter.

Somehow, I never had trouble standing out from the crowd. Blending in, that was a different matter.

@Dad: Yeah. I have no idea how Conny's real life counterpart does it. It's like she has this built in cloak of invisibility that she can turn on and off.

@Brigid: Aaah, that's our Mary, yessir!

Oh, well. You heard the laday. She did say loud and memorable.

On a different note...WOO-HOO! You're employed! Congratualtions. That's great news ^_^

Brigid said...

@Journo: She did say that. ^_^ Just following orders!

And I love being employed. Now to see if I can stay employed. (One week on the job and I get heat exhaustion. Well, the heat index was 88, so I probably shouldn't be surprised, but I'm going to have to be really careful from now on.)

@Brigid: Heat exhausion? Were you outdoors for work?

What kind of job is it anyway? Furnace maintenance? 0_0

Brigid said...

@Journo: Outside, inside, there were a lot of public toilets to clean and some unair-conditioned cabins.

The job is housekeeping. It gets hot here.

Journo-SEAL said...

@Brigid: Ooooh, OK. Had me worried for a minute. *whew*

Just want to say that I really enjoy your webcomic :) It took a little while, but I started from the beginning and got caught up to the current comic. Great stuff ^_^

@Bbobe: Cool! Glad to have a new reader!
