Chapter 13, Page 4 Volume problem

Poor kid needs confidence, and a microphone.

In all fairness to both the directors and the poor kid stuck with playing Peter Pan, the boy could sing. Decent voice, hit most of the right notes, he just couldn't sing in public. Poor guy had stage fright like you wouldn't believe. While my sisters think the primary deciding factor is whether the kid can fit into the costume, I do think the directors try to assign the roles based mostly on talent. On the other hand, they do have a rather limited pool to pick from.

P.S. Sorry for the delay! Again! I've been having a really hard time finding enough energy to do anything outside of work. Even while at work it's a struggle to keep going. If I could, I'd take the next week off and just sleep.

@Brigid: A leading man with the worst case of stage fright in history? 0_0

Oh, double phooey.

@Journo: Yeah, well, the kid was maybe, what, 14? 12? And he has to wear tights? Ya kinda gotta feel sorry for him.

Yay! Another installment!

A good slice-of-life.

I think you've hit it, about the stage fright. And talent. You'll remember that in high school, your dad had non-singing rolls in two musicals - as a humbug wizard.

The directors work with what they've got. ;)

@Dad: ;P You were born for such a role.

I gotta hand it to him. He's got a lot more guts than me. He has my regards *pats him on the back*

On a side note, I shared MQC with some of my friends from deviantART and they said that they really love it, but they are having some trouble with the way it is currently organised.

They suggested using Comicpress, which is a blogging software from Wordpress specifically for webcomics.

Just thought I'd let you know. Hope it's cool *sweating a little*

@Journo: Peter Pan. Humiliating early adolescent boys since 1953. (Men had played the part before that, but Disney was the first to use an actual *boy* for the role.)

And the suggestion is fine. Actually, I'm glad to hear that your friends like my comic. I don't know if I'll use that software, though. As nifty keen as Wordpress sounds, I'm not really in a position to try learning how to use the darn thing right now.

@Brigd: You said it *nods*

Oh, OK. Well, fair game. In the meantimes, I know I'll definitely be waiting eagerly for each update. ^_^

@Journo: ^_^ It looks cool, really, but it'd be nice if there was more organized documentation online. Good grief. They don't even say right out if it's free or not. That always makes me leery.

@Brigid: What, Comicpress? Yeah, it's free, although they did say something about donations.

This is what I've been told about it:

"...It's free, You don't "need" to have your own url so it's nice!..."

I also found a link for it if you're curious:

@Journo: Free is good. May look into it at a later date. When I don't have quite so many other things to do. ^^;

@Brigid: Of course. I definitely understand ^_^
