I've been enjoying these dream sequences. Your in-panel comment about waking sensations carrying over from dreams - or seeming to - is something I think many people will find familiar.
The explanation I think makes some sense is that some dreams are the brain's efforts to make sense of data streaming in from the senses while we're asleep. Once, I dreamed about wind: it involved a huge screen porch. Waking, I found a brisk wind blowing in through a window.
