Mary's sick, I'm sick. Well, Mary's problem is a little different than what was bothering me all last week. Ah. I think I'm just going to let you find out for yourselves. It's going to be painfully obvious rather soon, anyway.

I'd explain the delay, but...
Between finals, an annual apartment inspection, and some health concerns you really don't want details on, I just don't see me getting today's strip up today. In fact, I was working on it and things started to smudge. Not a good sign.
So I'll shoot for Wednesday.

Chapter 7, Page 34 April showers.
Don't like the weather in Minnesota? Wait five minutes. It'll change.
Has this ever worked for getting out of washing?

Chapter 7, Page 33 Cleansing change.
I still prefer baths to showers. How is it relaxing when you have to stand the whole time?
Oh, and I know it isn't Mother's Day yet, but I just wanted to say, "Sorry, Mom, for everything I put you through."

Chapter 7, Page 32 Mom and Dad have fun.
Mary does know where babies come from, intellectually. She has very little idea the kind of, er, fun that goes into the starting process. Heck, I'm not even sure of a lot of it. (Virginity very much intact, and likely to stay that way for the rest of my life.)
So we get a little life lesson and parent-terminally-embarrassing-child moment all in one. Oy.

Chapter 7, Page 31 Unmentionables
Yeah. Nothing like going through your parents' underwear drawer. (I may be scarred for life.)
A reveal on what exactly caused that reaction on Friday, if we're lucky.

Chapter 7, Page 30 Modesty system crash
I often have difficulty drawing Mom. Mainly in the choice whether to copy/paste or not to copy/paste. Ah, that's the question.
Okay, I'm done now.
The thing is, her facial expressions really don't change much so it is a lot easier to just c/p. But it feels like cheating so often I don't.
Well, I did here. I admit it. Mainly because I was in a rush from not working on the comic for several days. (Holidays really mess that sort of thing up.)
Oh! And Christ is risen!

Also, back then they were called brassieres and were huge, exquisitely uncomfortable looking things.

Chapter 7, Page 28 New developments.
You may or may not have noticed, but I'm not very good with 'subtle.' My default setting is 'subtle as a sledgehammer,' which can cause problems when subtlety is called for. When I try it usually comes out confusing.
In this case my problem was trying to indicate what Mom noticed without going the Gainax route (which would be pretty hard to do with a still image, anyway).
Puberty is awkward even a second time through.

Chapter 7, Page 27 Suicidal duck.
Sometimes I wonder what it'd be like if Dad got a job, say, narrating a nature documentary. It certainly would be different. As it is, Mary get treated to him providing dialog for the critters around town.

Chapter 7, Page 26 Compensated flattery
Yes, it's true, Mary honestly has no idea what she could have done to earn nearly two dollars in loose change.
Oh, and Grandma's birthday really is April Fool's Day. I can just imagine the jokes at the maternity ward.
